Noise at Work Regulation

What is the noise at work regulation?

The noise at work regulation came into force for all industry sectors in Great Britain on the 6th of April 2006 (except for the music and entertainment sectors where it came into force on the 6th of April 2008).

The aim of the regulation is to ensure the employees hearing is protected from excessive noise in the work place, which could cause permanent damage to their hearing and/or cause them to suffer from tinnitus (a permanent ringing in the ears).
